Have you ever wonder who ever visits your blog?Well yea.. to those of you who thinks that your blog is only viewable by friends whom you have published your address to.. then I think its time to wake up to reality.
More often than not, we pass on blog addresses faster than we order a bowl of cheng tng.
There were days before I started this blog, I would pester a friend of mine when I was extremely bored " Oi, any nice blogs anot?"
And he would flood my msn messengers with addresses to different blogs. I would go cyber snoop. I say cyber snoop instead of read, because ultimately you are snooping on somebody else's life - aint you ( When you are reading his/her online journal)?
Then i would always try to justify myself by saying that the person who posted the entry onto her blog actually wanted people to read it that's why it is being posted.
Agreed?
Somehow, if that is so, then why do people say online journal equates to having an online diary? Do you write a diary only to pass it around and let somebody else read sordid details of what you have done blow by blow? No right?
If that is the case, then those people who are writing blogs - do they really write things that they really felt strongly about or was it just a farce? They highly censor the details of what they actually feel, experience?
Therefore I really find it refreshing when I come across very honest blog entries like those submitted by XiaXue on her "Why are you worshipping the ground I blog on?" and those quirky yet blatantly honest ones by Mr. Miyagi and Mr. Brown.
How many parents in the world would like the world to know that they have a not so normal child? I have had first hand experience of how a parent seemingly locked up her son who is a year younger than me in her HDB flat, because he is a slow learner and goes to a special school.
Unless the person who is blogging can come to terms that his/her privacy is being evaded the moment he/she post an entry, that person can never write a truely touching and attention grabbing entry. After all a censored movie can never have the same effect on the audience as an uncensored one right?
