I have always had a huge interest in things of the occult. Many of my christian friends would probably frown upon my confession. Well, I'm still good ol' me. Probably even before you knew me, I probably have already had my fill of these stories (fact or fiction) up to my ears.I love reading horoscopes from young, I love mythologies, magic movies depicting witches etc etc.
However, I draw the line at practicing voodoo and witchcraft of course.. but dont you find such occult practices and beliefs mystifying? Start telling me a story about the Greek Gods or Goddesses, you would definitely have my fullest attention.
I am very intrigued when I read any books on these subjects. At a time, I even wondered if I was a witch. A weirdo person I knew once (I no longer know where this person is, he claimed he cannot live pass age 33), who claimed that he can remember the past, told me that I killed her sister (-.-!!!). I dont know if that was true, but it had affected me for some time.
Anyhow, lately I have dipping my feet and hands in Fengshui. Fengshui is not a religion, merely a way of life. It has also helped to me to reaffirm my chinese roots - for Fengshui practices orgin from long ago China.
So far, it has helped me put into perspective how many things happen and how I may help enhance my life as a whole.
I have also come to appreciate certain auspicious symbols like the double happiness symbols, the gigantic "fuk luk sau" in my living room, and even the mandarin ducks for conjugal bliss.
That's why when a friend of mine got married, I even try to persuade her to decorate her bedroom with such symbols but she said it was too cheena.
Frankly speaking, I do think it would help to solidify the union of two persons or rather pave obstacles aside and make the passage smoother.
If you had asked me three years ago to place such ornaments in my bedroom or even appreciate the "fuk Luk Sau" in my living room, I probably tell you " Go fly a kite!"
I have tried putting these practices into my life and so far, it has worked mighty well for me. I have also influenced my darling to accept some of these influences, and so far I might also add, that it has helped him advert a near death situation lately.
I do not know how it worked, but it has indeed worked for me and some of my friends who are also starting to implement fengshui into their lives.
Believing that fengshui worked for you doesnt mean that you need to decorate your homes to look like a temple. Fengshui is the placement and use of things at a specific location to suppress the luck or activating the luck. I am also more attuned to my surroundings, which is also elemental to one's wellbeing.
I dont know if you would try it, but I can talk hours on the subject. Let's not bore you but if you are interested in the topic, just drop me a line. You never know how it might help you.
