Sad news.. the white kitty passed away despite our efforts to save it from being abandoned.I guessed the medical condition was too serious before we came along and brought it to the vet.
Well, at least we have tried.
My home is experiencing some cloud of undisputed sadness over the kinda expected departure of the cutie pie - made worse when its mom's birthday today.
I guessed mom felt even worse... she was home and not able to do anything to save the kitten.
We still do not know what happened to her, what caused her death exactly.
But we suspected it was the case of her bloated tummy, which could be caused by a series of problems
For instance, infection from drinking mummy's milk.
Inability to pass motion and wee, due to mommy's neglect.
Worms in the stomach - after all it was a stray until its mother abandoned it for one whole day before we took it in.
and the damned vet could not pinpoint exactly what went wrong!
the other sibling left behind is recovering mighty well, but cranky because its sibling is not around now. It keeps meowing for attention and its heart breaking to know that it is looking for its sibling which is no longer around for some play time, warmth, that is sorely lacking because of the mother figure.
I was told the big sad news this afternoon when i came back home from work. Sis greeted me with a downcast face and I instinctively knew what happened.
After talking to my dogs, who are also very stressed from sudden banishment from my room, their favourite sleep area, I closeted myself in the room grooming the cat, all determined to make sure this kitty survived.
Luckily, It has a good appetite, eating almost 2 tablespoon full of tuna mince - specially bought for the kitties and I daringly mixed some kitty replacement milk formula into the mince. Hopefully, that way, this kitty will grow up strong getting enough nutrients to accompany its growth.
At the current moment, apart from busying myself at work and playing surrogate mother to the remaining kitten, I am looking for a permanent home for the kitty.
If anyone would like to adopt the kitty, kindly forward me your details.
