Good grief!

If this is the period of Lent, I would have done a really good job of abstaining from doing something I reallly wanted to do, i.e. reading the final tome of Harry Potter.

Its been out for the past week.

I reallly seem quite amazing what this last book can do to all Fanatic Harry Potter fans.
The news reported the Qs at various major bookstores like Borders, who had specially timed release of the book to match those being released in stores across the rest of the world.

Fans of the Hp series came dressed in all sorts, witches' hats, full gryffindor's school attire, some even went dressed as mad eyed moody.

It must have been quite a spectacular sight.

Unfortunately for me, being quite clumsy and unable to stand the crowds because of the pushing and the waiting ( I am very impatient if you dont know yet) I refuse to jump on the bandwagon although it could have been some fun trying to do that with my hubby. hehe

In addition, being currently busy with school work and home duties ( the stress of it all ) I refuse to pick up the book which would then lead to me abandoning this world to escape into the magical world of magic =)

I've read ALL 6 HP books. I did not start reading the book when it was first launched. I only started reading all those books in 2005 when most of the books were already published. Even so, The Half-Blood Prince lead me to being irked because I could find no resolution and it seems so dark and terrifying for a young boy, I just couldn't wait to read the final installment of the series.

the ironic thing is that now that it is finally out, I am still refusing to get the book because I would like to finish it all in one reading. Which means I can only get it next week when I will have a really long weekend to look forward to.

But then again, I was wondering if I could embark on a short shopping trip to hongkong with my mummy then. If so, I would have to postpone the reading yet again till I have a longer break.

Damn it, that sucks!
