Goodness gracious!
Its been so long since I went to the National Day parade.
The last time I have been there was when I was with my JC mates, who have gotten the free tickets via her father who was then an active RC member.

This year, the NAtional Stadium is being torned down, so we have a new venue for the parade, which is at the new golden area in Singapore, the Marina Bay area.

I had wished to go there this year, but given my current condition, I rather not jostle with the rest of the patrotic crowd and risk being irritated more than being estatic about the event.

There is no way to substitute the atmosphere at the parade. it is so electrifying, so intense, the noise, the singing of the national day theme songs, the other performances.... you have to be there to experience it.

Although watching the parade from the google box is very convenient, you just can't get to participate in the electrifying atmosphere.

I wish I would go there again.... but that will take pretty much persuading my hubby who thinks that the National Day Parade is all about brainwashing and government propaganda.

All in all, I would like to wish the nation to have more good days in the years to come and may we be able to survive all kinds of hurdles hurtled our way, together as a united nation. =)
